I.
The water stole the moment,
Turning peace to turmoil,
Carrying the bodies
To rocks and shore
With no warning of the change,
They would find.
II.
The thought was lost-
The reasoning unseen
As the world spiraled
In a sheen of Crashing waves
Over already blurred eyes.
III.
The beauty was there,
In a moment only,
The strength the reason
For the calm confusion
On faces of victims
Who filled lungs
With the wind of change.
IV.
Resistance was seen
In growth from water,
Thirst gone in absorption
Of the dangerous mind
That lead to the flood.
