Many lovers have I.

From ground to sky.

In sea or tree.

Such beings romance me.

I can not ignore their calls.

Up towering mountains or cascading waterfalls.

To feel their form perhaps feathered or furred.

But I know for a fact that love occurred.

Many lovers have I.

From the aggressive rocker to the gentle lullaby.

In headphone or speaker.

Such music makes my world less bleaker.

I can not ignore their sound.

Delicate flute whistle and banging drum pound.

To hear their noise either natural or man made.

I know for a fact for me, love won't fade.

Many lovers have I.

From the shadow of Poe's raven to the buzz of Dickinson's fly.

In free verse or rhymed.

Such writings into my heart have climbed.

I can not ignore their words.

Of points so clear or lines blurred.

To read their verses aloud or in the mind.

I know for a fact that love is not blind.
