Turn Off Your Television Set....

Just MSM Psychosis

Welcome to your main stream media psychosis

Or perhaps you haven’t been inclined to notice

Are the dailies, pumping out propaganda?

Complete with buzzwords, and a narrated mantra?

Is the TV, sticking to a pre planned script?

And using fear, to keep the nation gripped?

Programming us with behavioural psychology

Through the voice, of TV wannabes?

Is the BBC, really the place, we should go?

Employers of known abusers, that know, that we know

Funded by taxpayers, with forced licence fees

Supporting government, to keep ya locked up and unfree

Advertising, paid by the state, running into billions

For scary reminders, it’s us killing civilians

Double page spreads, of latest figures and graphs

And non fact checked science, and the need to wear masks

Do you enjoy the gloom, pumped out twenty four seven?

Is it driving us all, into the depths of depression?

Is Journalism no more, and all using the same rhetoric?

Brainwashing the majority of the country’s electorate?

Are Pop ups on social platforms, to keep the level of fear?

With stronger messages, as we enter a second year?

Z rated soap stars, paid to help promote the message

Of the governments, supposed roll out successes

Do we need billboard signs, to keep us aware?

As masked faceless eyes, sadly, continue to stare

Reminding us of distance, and stupid restrictions

To stop us succumbing to the unseen afflictions

Is no news, good news, as the old saying goes?

Do we keep watching, to remain comatose?

Should we “turn off the television set

And go out and do something, less boring instead?”

Welcome to your man stream media psychosis

Helping to keep your attention, and unwavering focus

Unchallenged, with free reign, to say what they are told

To keep us in place, with the stories they’ve sold

About the Creator

Warwick Holding

I’ve always been a storyteller, I’d love to say I was a writer, but I can’t. If people were even reading this on the toilet. I’d be humbled.

I write short, but true stuff, I try to mix honesty with humour, because it’s the only way I know
