What would it be?

Lust? Loss? Or Love?

~

If the skies above cried with us,

Would it be about Lust? Loss? Or Love?

If it is Lust,

There would be much need for touch.

No cuddles or morning breakfasts; would that be too much?

I'd rather keep things all a fantasy, no strings attached.

But, of course, there's no rush.

Don't ask for more this is all I have.

For my broken heart can't hold what's left.

I'm comfortable if we don't share anything.

But, of course, only physical affection in this heated love affair.

If it is Loss,

I don't think I could ever recover from being your only lover.

Trapped in my fortitude of agony.

While you fill my life up with tragedy.

All these pent up emotions I bottle up so angrily.

Even if I had changed for the better or for worse,

You would never fail to slash me with your apathy

If it is Love,

I'll give you compassion above all.

I'd tear down every one of my well-built walls.

Even making sure you never fall, I would give you the best of the best.

Hoping then you will feel blessed and maybe, somewhat, less stressed.

But, with love comes an effort.

Because a one-sided relationship is a worthless desert.

Like, what is the point in giving rain to a land that never gives back healthy grain?

But, the question still remains.

If the skies above cried with us,

Would it be about Lust? Loss? Or Love?
