About sister moon and brother sun

Luna and Sol

When I have been rejected, misinterpreted or misunderstood

There is an ancient goddess I turn to who makes me feel good

Her name is Luna and her radiance is for all

I admire the beautiful power and choose to be in her thrall

She can create monstrous waves when she shows her hidden face

She illuminates willingly when the world needs her embrace

She is the sister of the shimmering brother Sol

He can transform Luna into nothing or become magical and whole

When Luna is nothing, the world is silent and mourns

Her lost presence from the night becomes a terrible scorn

Sol tells Luna that her pearls shines softly on the world's eyes

That her monthly full glory is the world's gift if they die

Sol's face brighten's everyone's day

But when he needs rest he can hear the complaints

There are the ungrateful and the ones who are snide

The ones who choose to live and the ones that want to hide

Being a light for the world is no easy task

The light knows itself but not the man made mask

For some wear a few layers that cover the light

Dimming and clouding true beauty of sight

I remember life's direction, purpose, the part in the play

I am grateful for the stars, the seeds, the night and the day.
