Restart or Depart

Remember how we used to be?

Happy together, feeling free.

Now when I look in your eyes

I know there will be goodbyes.

You can only restart

Until there is no point.

We just grow further apart.

Didn’t want it to end

We can’t always break and bend.

It’s time to say goodbye.

Hiding the tears in the eye.

But it’s no use to lie.

We have nowhere to go

And the pain begins to flow.

We have tried our best

Putting love to the test.

We gave it our all

Only to have it fall.

No one ever said that was easy.
