Love Psalm I 1/22/10
Fingers softly sigh through silken strands of hair... while...
Hearts of reposing lovers,
Beat silent vows of forever in the hush of night!
The light of sun whispers its way in, past flimsy veils,
Kissing intimates with muted breath.
A thousand kisses slowly melt in breaking bright of day...
The beloved part, each their separate way.
Tendrils of longing...
They slowly ebb in the crisp reality of dawn..
'Til gauzy promises made,
Though in the dark and late..
Sing their siren song of seduction
Twice, and Once again!
... Sun Betrayal....
Morning dew
Glistens on delicate petals,
Like drops perspire on a dancing diva.
Softly you sway in the morning breeze,
Greet the warmth of your daytime lover,
Expose your face,
Reach up to receive caressing light of kisses,
Spend the day entangled in loves embrace.
Slowly, the night descends,
Dusky curtain this performance ends.
You're left alone in the night,
As your lover chases the west-lands..
In search of contentment.

Pints & Parkruns: Jubilee, Spennymoor
If MC Escher created a parkrun, it might look a bit like Jubilee. Based in a compact – but surprisingly lovely – park in the small County Durham town of Spennymoor, it twists and turns its way up repeated hills. Although basic physics says it must come down again, somehow this route never feels like it gives runners a proper descent.
