Love Letter to Love
An old poem I wrote in high school, which I repurposed because the old themes are no longer relevant to me.

Dear Lord,
I often feel like I can never be like You.
For You are perfect in every way.
I don't see how You could love me the way You do.
I often feel like I'm a disappointment day to day.
Yet You are moved with pity for me and are always by my side.
You never gave up on me.
Within You do I wish to abide.
Please free me from all iniquity.
How can I be more like You;
You who gave Your life for us?
Though I was dead, You gave me life anew.
Jesus, in You alone do I completely trust.
Make us more like you each day,
Light for the world and salt for the earth.
That we may be part of your kingdom, Lord we pray,
Singing with the saints in endless mirth.
Sincerely,
Nicholas.
