Love is a drug

Love should be considered a drug!

Love is like heroin

It can mislead you to what you think is paradise

It can be a beautiful nightmare

The first time I met love it was orgasmic

Then it showed me something so tragic

Betrayal in its worst form

You see my lover ran to my Bestfriend’s arms

Whenever she didn’t feel warm

Never will I love again I had sworn

But carrying a broken love

Can be worse than carrying a metal hanger through a thunder storm

You become vulnerable just like the hanger

At any moment

You become acceptable to any kind of love

Just as long as it strikes you, so that you can chase the high even if it’s just for a moment.

Even if you loose yourself trying to find it

Heroin addicts will do just about anything to get high

Crack addicts will kill for their next hit

People will do just about anything behind love even if it’s toxic.

People revolve around love

What can seem like the best feeling in the world can sometimes have the worst side effects

You chase and you chase

To be in love is like being addicted to drug

The only difference is drug addicts can go to rehab

What about love addicts ?

How do you shake an addiction to love?

Simply stop chasing love

Love is patient

Love can’t be found it seeks you

Or at least that’s what I tell myself
