Love hurts

Love's sweet but also hurtful

Love is like fire, it burns so bright,
A feeling so strong, it grips you tight.
Your heart races, your palms sweat,
It's an emotion you'll never forget.

But love can turn, take a twisted turn,
And then it's like a fire, you'll burn.
It hurts so much, it's hard to bear,
You begin to wonder if love is fair.

You pour out your soul, share your whole heart,
Only to have it torn apart.
Trust is shattered, tears stain your cheeks,
You feel like you'll never again reach the peaks.

You thought love was meant to bring joy,
But instead, it's like a toy.
Played with and tossed aside,
Leaving you feeling like you've died.

You try to move on, mend your broken heart,
But your love for them never does depart.
Every day is a struggle, a painful grind,
You wish you could turn back time.

Love blinds us to the truth, makes us naive,
We give our all, only to be deceived.
It's a cruel game, a vicious sport,
Leaving us with hearts bruised and sore.

But still, despite all the pain,
We can't resist love's sweet refrain.
We pick ourselves up and try again,
Hoping this time, we won't be let down.

So let us be cautious, and not be gullible,
Love is beautiful but also incredible.
Take your time, take it slow,
And you never know, love might just grow.
