“Love” and “Happiness”

Of all emotions what we seem to feel

most of all worst of all

the one which reigns the one supreme

one that weakens even the strong

we call it "love" that's the word.

Yet how we use a word

just a single simple word

to sum up it all.

Our world

all of those losses we have dealt with

that cruel pain we've felt

the heartbreak that results more times than not

sends our walls crashing down

down all around us.

But at times there's hope sometimes it works

we take that big risk again and again

and all the final hollering monster

hoping

for that rare happiness that might result.
