lost when we could find happiness

paradise could be for all

some earth is poisoned by good intent

a gentle hand can stifle beautiful flowers

roaring waters hide behind an eery calm

an ember could leave nothing behind

the things that go bump in the night may be afraid of us

something is always hiding behind what you see

nature prevails because it can't feel greed

it trusts balance and order

it is beauty for beauty's sake

flowers do not bloom because they expect admiration

the stars will always come out in the dark

humanity does not define what makes life worth living

we look for meaning

and ignore the treasure that is existing

we built a system that makes joy a commodity

so we fight

we sacrifice our home

we are lost
