Find your way through the maze of your mind

Retrieve what’s been lost

But what’s been lost is now lost

The lost can never make its way back

The lost can’t ever be new again

The lost can’t ever see again

Not the same way anyway

Not the old way anyway

Sometimes what’s the point

If I can’t even wrap my minds eye around this odd feeling

of being caught in the middle

I just feel...

Lost

in the middle of the night with my words

hoping that someone might read them

Which way does the maze go

Which way does your direction go

Which way does your sanity go

When you’re in the middle

Do your feet and legs get pulled under

your ancestors are rolling in their graves

do your wings reappear to take flight

You choose

What’s been lost is now lost
