Looks Can Be Deceiving

this earth

can be so cruel at times

shedding light on what moves

instead of what is,

that poor star..

how dare they take away the magnificence!

nothing shines as bright

as you

yet these planes,

these helicopters

try to imitate what they can’t be

how incredibly ridiculous?

i wish to look at the night sky

and be surrounded in all your glory

yet i cannot and it is because of this

falsely blinded

even if for just a moment

simply because i could not see what was real

how idiotic of me?
