I’m stuck;
for what seems like a decade
my life has revolved around
being with you
and remembering you
it’s hard
to think of who I am
without you circling in my head;
thinking what it was like
before all of it
it stings
the person I was before
was no friend of mine;
longing to improve myself
a fight I won by your side
it’s fine
I love a good challenge;
a change in scenery could fix
escaping the rooms I found myself
painted on your lips
