Little Joys of Life

A poem inspired by Amber Vittoria

The little things, come what may.

There are cliches, they say,

"The best things come in small packages".

Look at the Hello Kitty bandages,

"I'm not short, I'm fun sized".

We love gifts that make us surprised.

The little things, aren't they the best?

Far better than the rest,

Like a baby that waves at you for no reason,

or cool air when winter is your favourite season.

"Little things make the big things happen",

a song that gets everyone clappin'.

The little things are so amazing,

they awake something in you - a fire that's blazing.

They make you happy, make you share your kindness.

Make memories and make them timeless.

Small gestures can make someone feel adored,

Fuck it, put "I LOVE YOU" on a billboard.

The little things, they are what really matter.

Do something crazy, you're mad as a hatter.

Tiny actions can explode right out of you,

in a whirlpool of colours, reds or blues.

Find comfort in the small joys that excite,

then you’ll know you’re doing it right .
