Healing is not linear

It works in loops & waves.

A race car driver

who has only rode one track

can still lose his way.

Sometimes the path we have known,

is obstructed with new dangers.

Sometimes we take an entirely new path,

only to find ourselves back where we started.

Yet we forge on into our unknowns,

we carve new footpaths,

and sometimes we circle around,

weaving crossroads

to help us back

in case we need to start again.

Healing is not linear,

it’s a rollercoaster on the same old track.

You are still never prepared

for the drop.
