Life Goes By

Whiperwill

The whiperwhill sings his lonely song; night time lasts, oh so long.

The crickets chirp their woeful song, I wonder where I belong.

A lifetime spent, so long ago, the years fly by, where did they go?

Aches and pain fill my days, my mind is always in a haze.

A youthful man I used to be, but now my days, just seem to flee.

If down to the pit I must go, if my life, does lose it's glow.

If into the darknes I must go, have no fear for I know!

I know my God will remember me, and from the grave, He will set me free.

So my loved ones, have not fears! For I have done my best... throughout the years.

-I'm David!-
