Letting it Be

Today was smooth and I was fearless

I can replay each endeavor in my mind

But especially the scenes when you appear

Each and every detail was perfect

I yet cannot tell if they close the book

Or if the scenes start another chapter

Peaceful serenity followed the butterflies

I did not worry beforehand

I merely allowed myself to enjoy its surroundings

I noticed when you touched my hair

And when you touched my head again

The distraction made me not hear what you said

So I think of the things we talk about

Small things really, but always fascinating

Somehow, I leave always wanting to know more

Today was wonderful and our time was good

I regret not a bit, not a comment or a stare.

All I know how to do anymore is merely smile.

And that's okay

I pray your days are filled with joy

And time stands still so you can complete everything

And still have time to breathe at the end
