Learning Things Unknown
Getting to Know Myself
Looking back at my life I thought I was happy,
I thought I had everything I needed,
It was all there right in front of me,
I just had to reach out for it,
So why didn’t I?
Thinking back, I thought I had found love,
I thought love was doing as I was told,
It was the only kind of love I had seen,
I should have walked away,
What kept me there?
These questions haunted me,
I thought and thought for days,
A head full of blank thoughts but no answers,
Why couldn’t I answer things about myself?
I need time to seek out answers,
A chance to have love and happiness,
I deserve these parts of life,
My brain is no longer in charge,
Soul searching is best left to souls
