Leaf Lessons

Life Chronicles Liberation and Letting Go

Just one initially.

Oneness that discovered what I did

long before I got here with eyes.

Front-row seat to creation

but for me,

two days ago

a crimson-tinged leaf,

the first in a sea of leaves,

with zero attachment for accolades or leadership titles,

simply

ready

to let

go

after months of chlorophyllic dedication

unequivocal surrender with ease.

Nature’s color palette today

as one-third tree red against two-thirds tree green

teaches holy splendor in silence.

Vibrations of monumental orchestra

unearth nameless emotions

that the Oneness knows all too well.

Loss deemed insignificant by those without a living clue.

Like they’re guaranteed next Autumn.

Like transformation is painless.

Like regrowth is a given.

That a Beloved dies while parts of you do not.

Portioned soul innards necrotic and spreading

akin to actioned threats of abscisic acid

imminent system-wide shutdown

and death by dehydration,

suffocating in self-generated chemical waste

as the maître d’ writes your aperitif order and smiles,

existence balances on precarious percentages of apathy

in ratio to those who cherish past final pulsebeats.

Post-leaf lecture,

pre-planetary cataclysm,

peri-roots deep wisdom,

and I am soaked soil already.

Duty-bound to hold all.

Tell no one.

As I’m

t r y ing

to help you

amidst disintegrated whispers of last year’s fallen leaves

messaging from darkness about JOYOUSNESS of LIGHT

with prayers that you listen prayers for your sight

that fear unbinds and

you

let

go

with delight.

Impermanence yields kaleidoscope explosions.

Here the epoch of releasing

strengthens future seasons of increasing.

Miracles dreamt to manifest

unceasing.

My spirit remains enrapt.

Spills sensation overflows in every direction.

Glares at anyone reaching for a sponge.

Just leave it be

this ‘supposed to happen’

you and I juxtaposed to happen.

Vicarious moments

in richest apparel adorned

with not a solitary tear.

Glorious in departure.

Frond life fall confessions.

Endurance hall fought secessions.

Poignant tall taught lessons

of leaf liberation told truth.

Wow, you came back with a bang! I was starting to read this out loud, it had such great rhythm. I was trying to pick out a favorite line, but after 3 reads, realized I loved them all! Great work :)
