King of the Stage

With Iron Walls

Watching them light up the stage,

Busting out their best songs,

Sitting in the shadows with their drinks,

The crowd keeps going wild.

Waiting like a fool,

Knowing you aren't crossing those lines.

The more that time goes on,

The more the lines grow taller and taller,

Becoming a wall to keep people out.

A fortress to your heart.

Iron walls that keep those out,

But also deny love to entire your life.

Iron drawn lines...

Listening to the hearts and voices,

The crowd grows more and more,

Singing and dancing feeling like a stage.

But there you stand, king of it all,

Prideful and witless about the walls on your heart.

Walls keep growing, as the shouts grow louder.

Louder, and louder, driving out your love.

King of the Stage, all broken and enraged...

When are you going to awaken?
