Jordan's Orchard
His impact on our life, in his life and after-life
This is intended to be an introduction to a book of poetry outlining the ways Jordan's life has impacted ours during his lifetime, and in his afterlife.
The day I died was a traumatic and sad day, filled with heart-wrenching cries and tries. I tried so hard to get up, but my flailing legs were too weak. The girl, Cassidy, and her Dad had come out to do the morning feeding and found me laying in the snow. I couldn’t get up for them, so the girl went to get the Mom. When I heard my Human Mom exit the house, I gave a weak whinny. Thank Goodness! Here she comes. This will help. I know she can help me get up! But she couldn’t. With tears in her eyes, after they had tried everything in their power to help me beyond my own exhaustion; when I could no longer swallow, she quietly held my heavy head in her lap and stroked my neck, letting me pass in love.
