i am a bird in a cage
Burdened and caged
Break the glass case
Encased of emergency
These flights of stairs
Are littered with feathers of despair
i am a pilot with old bones and new tears
i am an old soul stitched with new tears
Tear at the flesh, my bones will
To join the skeletons in my closet
Doors open to closed fears
Embracing closed eyes and open tears
Wounds to my mortal shell
Encapsulated in all the rage and waves
Of emotion in waters of hurt i wade through
i am an ocean waiting on daybreak
As the eternal eye illuminates the way
i gaze beyond my cage
