IT’S ALL AN ADVENTURE THAT COMES WITH A BREATH-TAKING VIEW
Salt water blue eyes, open armed
Oceans asking me to swim or, perhaps,
To sink. No hand shall come to pull my
Lungs above the waves. To drown
in you would be a beautiful tragedy.
Rolling mountain hills, green green grass.
To fall from such a height, tumbling down
Through roaring, foaming waterfalls
And sharp-edged rocks, would hurt less
Than you staring into my eyes for the last time
Saying goodbye.
You are nature, it takes me over.
And yet, gale force winds couldn’t knock me,
No tornado could sweep me up
Like your sweet sweet words
That I can hear echoing, deep in my bones.
Take your great wave,
And wash me away with you.
