is death enough
for dead eyes
dead space
can you see inside
an empty vase
hollowed, closed
it siphons in
watered eyes
tied to space
in a density case
of amnesia
think I'll ever know why
the memories
never come by
always draining
filling space
in an empty vase
is death enough
when there's never enough
time
to rid yourself
of the goodbyes
you never expected nigh
no waving goodbye
just dead space
and dead hearts
beating to the rhythm
of nothing
and there you were
in solitude
absolute fortitude
an anomaly in
truest form
a vase
to hold space
for flowers
holding watered tears
now granting life
no more dead space
to take our grace
is death enough
for life
I think yes, today it is.
About the Creator
Veronica
I am the moss silken on watered stones, rooted deep in rich soil. Earthen creature, I am the night sky -starry and strayed from the forgotten path of poets - I am, the chatter from the iron rails rattling as the train carries itself home.

Veronica, I enjoyed your poem and look forward to more contributions in the future. I just submitted a rather dark poem but it may spark your interest and if you have a free moment, you can drop by and take a peek. The title is "Psychologically Incarcerated." Best wishes!!
