Quick Intro: I have always fiddled around with writing poetry and song lyrics (which are sung only in my head). Sometimes, my work is inspired by films and TV shows that I watch. It's like I created a soundtrack for what entertains me. So, I decided to post one of these poems on Vocal to see how people react. This one was written for one of my favorite animated series, Avatar: The Last Airbender. The first, part is written from Aang's point of view, and the second part is Zuko's point of view. Enjoy!

I didn’t ask for this power

Didn’t want to be a hero

And yet here I am

Facing the inferno

So, I crawled through the tunnels

Swam in the abyss

And now I believe

That I'm ready for this

So, I'm gonna fall

I'm gonna fly

With my head first

Into the storm

You can’t strike me down

With your lightning crown

Im gonna dive

100 feet

Into the fire

Into the storm

You can’t strike me down

With your lightning crown

I didn’t want to be a villain

I didn’t have a choice

I screamed through the pain

With an angry voice

I was buried in the dark

Couldn’t find the light

Now I know who I am

It’s time to join the fight

So I'm gonna fall

I'm gonna fly

With my head first

Into the storm

You can’t strike me down

With your lightning crown

Im gonna dive

100 feet

Into the fire

Into the storm

You can’t strike me down

With your lightning crown
