Sometimes it’s actually really difficult

To find my daily motivation

Anxiety creeps up on me

Trying to drag me under

My breathing starts becoming labored

I feel trapped and empty

Outside is my safe place

I feel content around nature

Cool breeze and chirping birds

As I’m in my backyard

I peep the storm drain

Water dripping down the sides

A little inchworm marching upwards

The stream dragging it down

But it kept on trying

Eventually made it up top

An inspiring moment, yes indeed

Through adversity, it kept pushing

From now on, that’s me

Thriving until the very end
