I created this poem to help a friend through a mutual loss of someone we had lost six months earlier due to the fact that that person's birthday arrived. It's rather sing-song, but just in case it may help someone else in the same situation, I am providing it below.

In Memoriam

Though on this Earth your journey's done,

Today recalls your first day here.

Reliving joys of life once shared,

We're blessed and proud we'd had you near.

With love and grace, forever safe,

You're in our hearts each day and year.

And 'til the day we meet you there,

We'll hold you in our thoughts most dear.
