If I Didn't Exist
Words To Purge My Dark Feelings
Just thinking of what I mean to people, and realised that if I disappeared, no one would notice and none would be affected, though that has been true throughout my life.
It's just the feeling of being alone unrecognised individual in a very big world.
The poem “Antigonish” by William Hughes Mearns makes me think I am the one on the stair, I include the first/last verse
Yesterday, upon the stair,
I met a man who wasn't there!
He wasn't there again today,
Oh how I wish he'd go away!
This is a free form non-rhyming list poem to purge my dark feelings because I have to always be there for when the people that really matter to me need my support.
Never worry for me, this is how I deal with dark times.

If I Didn't Exist
Life Would Not Change
If I Didn't Exist
It Would Not Matter
If I Didn't Exist
There Would Be No Issues
If I Didn't Exist
Things Would Be Better
If I Didn't Exist
The World Would Still Turn
If I Didn't Exist

Interesting writing. I hope that you purged all those feelings from your mind and your body. I know I would miss you if you were gone.
I went to see a medicine man yesterday as I have some depression symptoms. Memory and spaciness are the most troubling. I was checked for dementia. No sign of that and no markers for that. I don't feel depressed most of the time and yet a friend said, "Everyone is depressed now! How could they not be?" Okay, and what do we do? I have a counseling appointment in June. It takes forever to get an appt. I guess that means I am not the only one. And I will take the medicine the medicine man gave me. Not one but 2 medicines. And I write and that helps! And I read and that helps!
We would all (on Vocal and Medium) be missing so much if you were not there. You always offer caring and encouraging words when someone is feeling down,as you are now. Think seriously how many things would not be better without you. Watch the James Stewart movie "it's a Wonderful Life'. That will make what I am saying more clear.
We have all felt that way in our lives. The truth of the matter is that we often have a warped view of ourselves. You never know who you may impact. ;-)
