I spoke to the devil today,

He told me he is not to blame,

And not the reasons for my shame,

The blame for the shame should we put on me,

My focus was on the devil today,

But on some level,

I was unable to face the fault was mine.

The world is an unkind place to be,

And it has nothing to do with me,

But still you blame,

Your darkness needed a face,

So blame could be placed,

Our father rejected us at the same time,

The deck is stack against both of us,

Our father’s rules,

Are designed to be cruel,

So what’s a mere mortal to do??

Deny every desire,

Or get thrown into the fire.
