I shouldn't have survived;

I wasn't meant to reach...

I've seen the worst

life has to offer,

yet still I've gone on.

I've seen the dregs

of our society,

yet here I still am.

I'd say I'm strong

but I'm fooling no one.

I'm one chaotic ball

hurling through this life..

I shouldn't have survived;

I wasn't meant to reach...

I've felt a lifetime of pain

I can't go through it again.

*

If I'm honest

I don't know how

I've made it this far.

It's a miracle I awake

as every new dawn breaks-
