I am about to Break all the Poetry Rules.

You will find no rhyme schemes here.

Additionally, void of philosophical

or existential content with

no expansion on subjects

of Nature, Love, or Fate.

After all, thinking outside the box

is more than clever twists to tired old tropes.

Brilliant poets allow readers to relish

more than matching patterns

and commonplace clues.

So long restrictive sentence structure;

I care nothing for your line or syllable counts.

Hello, irregular rhythmic features

associated with the likes of prose.

Now that that’s out of the way,

let’s write a poem here goes…

Dammit.
