reckless abandon
I am about to Break all the Poetry Rules.
You will find no rhyme schemes here.
Additionally, void of philosophical
or existential content with
no expansion on subjects
of Nature, Love, or Fate.
After all, thinking outside the box
is more than clever twists to tired old tropes.
Brilliant poets allow readers to relish
more than matching patterns
and commonplace clues.
So long restrictive sentence structure;
I care nothing for your line or syllable counts.
Hello, irregular rhythmic features
associated with the likes of prose.
Now that that’s out of the way,
let’s write a poem here goes…
Dammit.
