How Do You

Doubt

Have you noticed that when you feel the most vulnerable, you also are the most scrutinized? To be sad is to be bitchy, to be hurt is to be rude, to be anxious is to be crazy. They say that clouds have silver linings but what if you feel like a werewolf in the clouds? Having anxiety seemingly makes you a human target for judgment and they do say perception is reality, so if in reality you are a human target, how do you deflect the emotional bullets fired from the mouths of people who matter and even worse the ones that don't? When the truth and the false seem to intertwine with one another how do you untangle something that seems to be held together by steel? Do you use every bit of strength to pry them apart or do you fall into the empty hole where you think your heart is? How do you rise up over the looming shadow that is no longer on the ground, the one that has leapt up detached from your feet threatening your very existence, leaving you cowering in a space that you think is a corner but in actuality is your mind? How do you make your mind as open as the heart that used to be in your chest, the one that use to ache for acceptance, and scream for acknowledgement? You see the heart and the mind do not always agree, but the mind is so powerful that it can extinguish the fire in the heart with nothing more than a soft blow. So how do you........
