A winter poem

Hot chocolate and a world in white

Warm jackets and hats drew tight

Stomping feet on the ice-clad floor

Warm air escaping through opened doors

***

My love and I clasping gloved hands

Across the table, busily making plans

Steaming mugs and reddened cheeks

Looking forward to the coming weeks

***

Green eyes shine, black hair framed

Bobble hat shaking animatedly

As we sing along to seasonal songs

And fall in love completely

***

As we wander into the crisp white world

With our first kiss warmed hearts

As ice cloud breaths leave happy smiles

On our frosty lips

***

The echo of our laughter,

Down all these years

From our first winter together

And the love we shared

***

Even now, when the snow begins its fall

We dress up warm and step into the swirl

A happy kiss and hands clasped tight

A hot chocolate and a world in white
