HOPE DEFERRED

Humanity harried,

Opinions varied.

People deceived,

Equality stymied.

Democracy in jeopardy,

Envy all racially.

Freedom renounced,

Egalitarians denounced.

Races at war,

Regress the poor.

Eroding virtue,

Damnation our only rescue.

My soul I shepherd through the field of HOPE.

It harkens me to lie down in green pastures: It leadeth me beside the still waters. It seeks a dream now DEFERRED.

My soul restoreth me: leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for this HOPE erodes me.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of strife, I will fear not: for the promise of redemption is with me; its rod---truth; its staff---justice for they are my weapons against HOPE DEFERRED.

My soul preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies for to sup with devils lets you know where they always are...

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell as a freed soul from a HOPE DEFERRED.
