Homecoming

You and I

Homecoming

My heart keeps returning to you

As if I’m coming home,

I know you feel it too..

you even told me

when we were laying skin to skin

We are all that we seek

Within one another

Within ourselves

I crave you like a hunger

So deep it shakes my core

And just a tiny taste of you

Quenches my desires

But you always leave me wanting more

I ache to return to you

As if I’m finally coming home

Like a soldier after months away at war

Returns home

Scattered

Broken

Scarred

Yet still somehow whole

sad poetry
