A place that I hated and couldn’t wait to leave turned into a place that my heart won’t let go of,

A place where I thought all my dreams would die in has turned to a place that put a fire in my soul,

A place where I felt that I didn’t fit in has turned to a place where I feel must at home,

This place is where I learned that we are in this together, a place where you never really felt alone,

A place where I want to see change take hold in, where I see people hurting and trampled upon,

This place is my home and nothing can change that, a place I will fight for til justice is done,

I love this little dot on the map and the people from here, it’s a place that will always be dear to my soul.
