companionship can lead to myriad destinations.

in some places it is less loneley when you are alone.

only someone who's loved another can ever know a broken heart.

if it meant keeping safe from losing it, would you forfeit the chance of love?

or is the possibility of romance driving your desires?

is the threat of losing romance more frightening?

more traumatizing than the gamble finding one to share it with?

not numb; safe from cupid's arrow; only ever to watch love bloom-

seeing from a distance the seeds of passion cultivated

but never able to taste the sweetness of its fruit.

you know at least even if that sacrifice means fire never ignites

that it can never burn a hole through your mind.
