Her Tears

Trials of a child

Her tears....

Reaching for explanations

Striving for expectations

A world that waits but trapped ...

You see my Smiling face drowned out by crying eyes

Life so grey,

with fear of never seeing blue skies

If only to be a child....

Robbed of innocence, and replaced with knowledge

Pain, suffering and enduring

When will it stop....

Can you not hear my screams

Through my silence

Can you not feel my need to be free

While blessed by you’re presence

When will we live.....

And stop fighting each other

Hold close our lives

And remember the promises

To me and my brother.

Where is my choice.....

My choice to be happy,

Smart, safe, and heard.

My choice to sit amongst mountains

and listen to birds

When.....
