Her Poem

Into the Night

Assumptions, Denial, Regret

As his eyes shone with pain in the dark-filled night

And the damage to his soul done,

She whispered too quietly, don't go. Stay; fight,

But it was too late, for he was gone.

Disappearing into the misty sky, blue with amber lights

The question lingered long in his doubt-filled mind,

Why did she push with all her might?

I thought her heart surely to be mine.

She watched him leave after making it so

As a single tear stole her sight, she will never forget that night.

What's done is done, she pushed and watched him go.

So off into the night they both shall remain.

I think it's important to share struggles with others in order to help the same types of people in their own lives. Heaven knows enough other people with struggles worse than mine have helped me in the past.
