Her Demons
A glimpse in the mind of someone fighting themselves.
And her demons have come back full force. Clawing at her mind, letting her know she’s worthless, she’s a failure, she will never be good enough.
It’s eating at her. Turning her into a shell of who she was. She’s looking so thin; her eyes look haunted.
She’s putting on a smile, trying to save face. All the while her mind is screaming why bother, she should have taken the whole damn bottle.
She wonders if she should’ve just gone through with it. She’s lonely and afraid to speak up because she knows no one will truly understand what’s going through her head. It’s all a game, it’s all a show. If you laugh nobody will know.
That you feel like you’re dying inside your soul. You feel like you’re destroying your home. Life’s a mess and it isn’t getting better.
She goes to bed despite the fact she may sleep an hour. She’s so angry. At herself but she’s lashing out at everybody else.
They wouldn’t understand that she just wants to die. As she cries at night from keeping it all inside. She hates herself for feeling so weak.
It’s pathetic, she should just get over it. But how do you fix something when you don’t know where it’s broken? She’s falling to pieces, pushing everyone away.
She’s alone except for the monsters who have come to play. They’re screaming.
She doesn’t know where to turn or what to do. She’s at a loss and she has no clue which way to go. Where’s the light? Seems like nobody is home.
She wants to reach out but how do you explain to someone who doesn’t know, what it’s like to be stuck inside your own head with no way out. There is no easy solution when it comes to this. She can’t just get over it super quick.
It’s making her angry trying to explain that her mind is playing some twisted game. There’s no winner at the end. No trophy to be obtained.
She’s crying out for help but no sound escapes. She doesn’t fear death, but she fears the want to die.
