Hell

this insane world

is so often cold and cruel

it’s quite ugly and mean

with enslaved people used as tools

just cogs in the machine

our fatal routines depict our dire straits

we kill our home

we kill our mother

we kill our Everything

all for profit

all for greed

we slaughter our forests

so we can make the paper to buy it back

while fat men with clogged arteries

hunt drugged tusks

all for an undeserved ego boost

they claim they are predators

part of me agrees

"Money makes the world go 'round!"

but only if we're spinning towards hell
