Heart So Full
Head so full;
Like the air soaked
With the flower scents
In the late afternoon
Of soft and long summers.
Cheeks so full;
Of warmth, of vibrancy
Like sun-kissed asphalt roads
Holding onto the warmth long
After the sun is gone.
Head so full;
Like the air vibrating
With notes and rhythms
Of love songs and old hits
From playlists from sweethearts.
Mouth so full;
Of words, of smiles, of lyrics
Like the poems not born from haze
But sparkled watching the stars glister
From the quiet of the front steps.
Head so full;
Like a pastel sky cuddling the Earth
Taking giggles and dreams inside,
Like the floor in a loft
Where the streets become too silent.
Heart so full;
Storms forgotten, anchors abandoned
All is right in this light –
Under the sky painted serene
Before the world goes dark,
With the air smelling of hope
For the following morning time.
