Heart of Stone

Love is a stranger

to a heart of stone

No feelings can there be

Is that what you believe

But does the stone

only protect a fire

so that when love is there

it burns so much brighter

You say I have a heart of stone

But please remember

even stone can be broken

and the stone will turn to dust

if the love is strong enough

Love is a stranger

until it is found

a stone hiding fire

until the desire sets it free

Can a love

between you and me

ever be

can you be the man

who sets my heart free
