Handmade Spirit

Of pebbles

Colors seem blind,

wind has no hue

you look deep

and no sound

turns soul

back into loving arms,

higher than anger

or the loss,

you swim inside an ocean

darker in daytime,

hungry beyond compassion.

***

Can you come on the shore,

do you dare leave

a lake of tears in your wake

drops of redemption

waiting steps,

reaching sunshine

is letting go

of the undead,

your ghosts stay buried

undying, ever after

claws will not graze heart

and your spirit

reigns free

with sunny flowers.

***

Home dwells in ivy

how did you lose the way

where was the rope

to hold onto

last bit of hope?

Hearken the roar,

steer your will,

this sea of loss

is not the end

what was taken apart

can come back

in a rainbow,

don't give up on your soul,

it may be the last thing you see

before you cross

into another land,

before you know

what redemption

was meant

to bring.

***

If this world or the next

holds more of you

than dark desire,

don't stray into another marsh,

don't strangle

all good wishes.

***

Silver strings hold each butterfly,

they don't know how to swim,

breath leaves a wish

when scorn

comes close,

unfolds cold wind,

no corner,

and no dawn

inside a mirror full of loathing,

your dreams fail slowly

at another's hand.

***

Don't give up on last chance

to go into the light,

don't shred your soul,

laughter holds final secret

to moonbeams, bridge

in smiling, you go on,

in loving,

you set free

your heart.
