Halloween Night
Okay, it’s Halloween. Here’s my happy spooky poem.
Black cats, ghosts and goblins, a witch or two….
Squeales and laughter fill my ears from children who yell trick or treat and boo!
Halloween….
Memories of this magical night bring me closer to my inner child’s delight.
It’s the night we become whoever we choose…..It’s the night of magic, lore and fairytales galore.
Halloween…..
I run through the streets, excitement fills the air…..
I race from house to house collecting treats, oh such wonderful fare!
Halloween…..
Jack O’ Lanterns light our way, they’re carved out grins and brightly lit eyes remind me of a Jack O’Lantern legend I know…..
Someday I may tell you why!
No matter how old we grow there’s a child inside waiting to appear on Halloween night and that time is near.
Halloween, oh Halloween…….
