(Verse 1)

Poor man bent over gold.

He didn't know what he was missing,

when he didn't go back home.

Made his way to the bar.

And a little misunderstanding,

went a little bit too far.

(Chorus)

Guns are like whiskey.

They can poison your mind.

Guns are like whiskey.

They can show you a good time.

Guns and whiskey aren't that different.

Oh, but guns and whiskey really don't mix.

(Verse 2)

You can drown all your sorrows.

Forget all the tomorrows,

that are coming your way.

You may be alright,

but just for tonight.

Because hell, is coming the next day.

(Chorus)

Guns are like whiskey.

They can poison your mind.

Guns are like whiskey.

They can show you a good time.

Guns and whiskey aren't that different.

Oh, but guns and whiskey really don't mix.

(Verse 3)

A woman with mascara running down her face, looked up at the stars and started to remark all her mistakes.

She missed out on so many things that she can't count.

Because she spent all that time dwelling in doubt.

(Chorus)

Guns are like whiskey.

They can poison your mind.

Guns are like whiskey.

They can show you a good time.

Guns and whiskey aren't that different.

Oh, but guns and whiskey really don't mix.

(Outro)

Guns are like whiskey.

The cheaper they are.

The less quality you're bargaining for.
