I am grateful for the water around me
and the rain that comes from above
for giving my soul
a place to swim
I am grateful for the air I breathe

the wings upon which to fly
I am grateful for the earth I inhabit
for giving my soul
a place to walk
I am grateful for the sun and light
for giving my soul
warmth and brilliance
I am grateful for the plants and animals

friends that are beyond words
