A Homphonic Take on These Very Grey Days
They last couple of weeks in Newcastle it seems there has been bo sun. I saw the sun in Edinburgh , Thirsk and Whitby but here it seems just grey
So this is a poem taking a cue from Madness and a homophonic title , a few lines of poetry.
☁️🌨️☁️🌨️☁️🌨️☁️🌨️☁️🌨️☁️🌨️
I leave the house for a walk
The sky is dark as I start
I am alone, I don’t talk
I've love and hope in my heart
☁️🌨️
The sky is clouded over
The darkness does fade away
But there is no sunshine here
Slightly lighter shades of grey
☁️🌨️
The minutes and hours tick by
Slowly counting through my day
Above me just uniform cloud
Hardly changing shades of grey
☁️🌨️
But I've my own sunshine
Right here in my loving heart
Keeping my spirit in line
My love is not ever dark
☁️🌨️
Standing under my heaven
I know the grey will soon go
Sunshine will be in my life
Brightness and Love soon will flow
☁️🌨️☁️🌨️☁️🌨️☁️🌨️☁️🌨️☁️🌨️
